View Full Version : How hard would it be to find this particular 2015 Abarth combo?

The non-negotiables:
White exterior
Red leather
Beats
Manual trans
Sunroof

What I want but I could add after the fact:
White wheels
Red stripe/mirror caps

I am looking at a 2014 with everything I want for $13,200, but if I could find it in a 2015 the upgraded dash and extra time on the factory warranty would be perfect.
(This is the '14 I'm considering currently):

Difficult. Dealers over-ordered automatic transmission Abarths in 2015 thinking that was going to fix sales. Turns out it wasn't automatics that people wanted. Finding a 2015 Manual that's otherwise loaded is not easy - dealers basically would check all the boxes or none it seems.

It turns out, buyers did not want Abarth's in general. Yes there are a lot of Auto's on lots, but there are a lot of them just in general.

When you are forced to discount vehicles 10k off of MSRP, you have a problem.

So far the new Spider's are not moving great either, Fiat needs to re work their business model a little.

I agree it might be difficult. Go used... If you want add an extended warranty.

The MSRP for a new Abarth base should be $17-18k, not $20k (lowered from 22k). I recently called a dealership for a new Abarth base and they quoted me $23k after taxes and tag... Too much.

The MSRP for the 2017 Abarth is $19,995 + $995 destination. That's a $2580 decrease over last year. I wouldn't look for deep discounts on 2017s as there are still 2016s out there, plus the new cars already have lower prices. I would keep in mind that chiseling the price so low may be a double edged sword when it comes time for service and the dealer is out of business. Factory rebates and incentives are cool, but if you have a good dealer and they treat you well, maybe leave some meat on the bone for them so they can pay the bills.

Some 15's out there but they don't have exactly what you are looking for. https://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchresults.action/?zc=30101&rd=99999&prMx=30000&stkTypId=28881&yrId=58487&yrId=56007&yrId=51683&mdId=20483&trId=47744&clrId=27134&transTypeId=28112&mkId=20060&sf1Nm=price&sf1Dir=DESC&sf2Nm=miles&sf2Dir=ASC&page=1&perPage=50&sortFeatures=buryUsedLowPrice&sortFeatures=buryNewLowPrice&sortFeatures=buryLowPriceOlderThanSix&sortFeatures=buryNoPrice&sortFeatures=buryUsedLowMileage&searchSource=GN_REFINEMENT You might want to check on Carguru.com as well.

Thanks all. I've been searching all of the generic car sites I could think of and the general search sites. I thought I might throw it out there in case there is another forum or Facebook group (for example) that I hadn't thought of searching.

Sad but true.

The problem is, they are not doing anything worthy of consumer recognition right now.

I decided to buy the '14. I've put my deposit on it and fly up to pick it up Monday. I'll probably order the TFT dash for the '15 and install that soon, and then decide what I want to do for a stereo/nav system.

Thanks all.
