Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting! The one Rosso model on that page had the luxury package (or whatever it's called). I'm thinking I'd want the Recaro seats and the Brembo brakes, and could pass on the other options.

Unless there are actual photos released of the 124 ABARTH at said Studios, they do not have these cars yet.

I pulled up two Window Stickers from the Chrysler site and they do say "Abarth" on them.

Last I heard the ship was to dock around September 7th (http://www.fiat500usa.com/2016/09/fiat-sales-for-august-2016.html) and the cars were to hit dealers end of September beginning this month, so they seem to be on track.

With the ship coming from Hiroshima, wouldn't you think that the West Coast would get deliveries before the East Coast?

Sure, logical assumption. I'm on the East Coast, so my ear is a little closer to the ground on this side of the country. gr_grin

I got "The Call" yesterday from a dealer in Erie, PA that they had two, one of each transmission type. They seem to be the largest Fiat dealers for hundreds of miles (I'm in western NY) so I suppose they got their's first. The local dealer doesn't have any (I called). I'm working on a road trip to drive the one with the manual trans.

That one actually might be spoken for already. They did send me pictures of it though that I will post up in a little bit.

IIR, the Abarth conversions are done in Italy so the cars have to be shipped from Japan to Italy, converted, then shipped to the U.S. The east coast is the logical landing for them if this is true.

I could be wrong – a common problem of mine – but I believe US-market Abarths are fully spec'd in Japan, except for the Heritage blackouts which are painted at a Mopar facility in Michigan. Our Abarths never get to see Italy.

That's right they are done in Japan and the Heritage stripe is done here. Btw here is the one that I've got locked down just trying to get all the paperwork finalized.

You didn't even let them put their advertisement plate on there, did you?

This one is located in PA at Auto Express Fiat of Erie and they've got a black automatic but I'm not sure if it's sold yet.

Haha they had just pulled it into the showroom yesterday so I'm not sure if they put it on or not. I'm having it shipped down to me in GA.

Why does the airbag have the fiat logo and not the abarth?

We broke that story on the blog in April:

"...This also means the US car will wear a Fiat badge on the steering wheel while a new US spec steering wheel complete with an Abarth logo goes through safety testing certification. This may take up to a year.**"

I somehow missed that. Interesting. I suppose it will be one way of checking what model year the car is in the future.

Yer lucky - I passed on the opportunity to drive it so you'll get it with fewer miles on it. :)
