Awesome clip. 'Weird they added the "Spider"... I thought the R-GT is a Coupe.

... I thought the R-GT is a Coupe.

I believe the hardtop is removable, thereby still allowing the 'Spider' moniker.

I don't know about that, my friend. It wouldn't qualify for the class if the top isn't fixed.

Darn it. I knew I shouldn't have guessed.

Perhaps because as a stock vehicle it is a vert...at least for now? Just another probably bad guess...lol.

I think it's just a typo... The ABARTH FB page doesn't use "Spider" for this model. But you & Steven gave solid explanations.

What's the lever in the middle where the shifter would be if it was a manual? Great video BTW ... thanks.

Hand brake.

Hand brake.

Thanks That's what I figured when I saw them use it at about the 53 second mark in the video but still seemed kind of tall so I wasn't sure. Is it safe to assume they use the handbrake to help bring the tail around in really tight corners, a bootleg turn of sorts?

Seems likely, at least the guesses sounded somewhat plausible I guess. :)

I'd be happy with an A124 Coupe taken down to 200-210hp. This car is so much YES.

It would be my dream car. Mazda made a mistake by not jumping all over a coupe variation. Mazda opted for the new retractable targa, generously leaving the coupe on the table for Fiat.

I love the look of the hardtop Miata. I'd love to see Fiat have a hardtop option but from an aftermarket maker so it looked like the car in the video less the roof scoop though. :)

A full CF hardtop would be SICK.

Indeed, hope some aftermarket options becomes available.
