View Full Version : What lurks under the center cap??

I am trying to sell my GQ wheels, but if they don't sell, I want to run them without the large center caps that cover my bolts. I took the cap off, and the inside of the wheel looks sort of like the inside of the stock 17" wheel - 4 bolts and a smaller hole, but without a center cap.

My question is this - does anyone know what center cap would work to cover the smaller hole of my GQ wheel? I don't have a digital caliper to measure the inside of the small hole.

ebay has lots of blank canter caps and fiat sticker logos to go on them. You just need the size. get a ruler and measure, you don't need fancy calipers.

Well, I did measure it with a tape measure, and it came to 2 1/4". That translates to slightly over 57mm. They offer caps in all sorts of sizes, including 57, 58 and 60mm - mostly international sellers with pathetic descriptions and no return policies.

Some people with stock Abarth wheels has luck with these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/251316069236?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rmvSB=true - but they cost $40 to have them shipped and I am not positive that the GQ wheel is identical to the Abarth wheel, although I am guessing so.

Any GQ owners that tried this?
