View Full Version : Abarth wheels on the 500e?

Was just looking around at some wheels.
Has anybody put the abarth wheels on the 500e? They would fit ok?
How bad would it kill the mpge and range on it?
Would 16" wheels be better?

I doubt they would affect the range that much but it depends on what tires you put on. If you stick with some low rolling resistance tires then you shouldn't notice any difference. There might be a slight aero penalty but nothing terrible.

Agree with 60. I had a Honda Insight (the one with the rear wheels covered).
Changing AWAY FROM LRR tires LOST me 10 mpg!!!
The main thing you want to do to maintain your mpg is LRR tires and maintaining the same relative contact patch to the road. I.E. If you go wider then you want a lower profile. I went with one series wider and one series lower profile than stock on that Honda with LRRs and saw no difference in my 70mpg.
