Chrome handle looks out of place on red car. What are replacement or painting/wrapping options? Don't want to spend $400 on carbon fiber replacement. How hard are they to remove and replace? Looking for an old one for sale that I can play with.

All input welcomed

I'm probably going to plastidip mine this week. Not as bad on a white car like mine, but I'm still pretty anti chrome.

I would wrap it for sure because the finish is ofcoarse going to be very consistent compared to plasti-dip where you can tell its been sprayed on, its not like its coming out of an expensive automotive paint sprayer.

my guy Jared@EAC Concepts....

hydrodip OEM hatch handle... :)
dark cherry hydrodip....base coat red, black weave CF dip pattern, touch of black in the clear coat finish....viola! (he did handpaint the Italian flag in the "500")

Hydrodip (in practically any pattern or color you want) OEM hatch handle without Italian flag... **$65**
With Italian flag colors...$125

I don't think that costs 7 dollars (can of dip), though. :burnout:

I did the ENTIRE top of my kids car (my old car) and it looks great for three years strong!

The hydrodip looks awesome! Plasti-dip is cool, too. We have a few threads on it. Here is a big one: http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?13685-Has-anyone-else-used-plastidip

Plasti-dipped the tailgate handle and made my own 'turbo' taillights. Believe it or not the plastidip on the taillights hasn't peeled up at all and it's been through many carwashes, a Michigan winter, etc. It's strong stuff and completely reversible!

I plasti-dipped the grill and emblems on my last car. It looked great and lasted for a long time. I plan on doing the same to my Abarth as soon as I can find the time.

Decided to play with the plastidip and did the front emblem along with slight tint of the side signal lights.

I see black trimmed headlights and signal lights in my future, to finish it off.

looking good. did the dealer paint the handle?

No. I took off the handle and took it to my local bodyshop. They have a special adhesion primer that works great on chrome & plastic. Just matched body color. Had it back the next day.
I also plastidip ed the abarth emblem on hatch. It is black around outside instead of chrome.

So do you guys at NGEN have alot of overlay / wrap options for the External chrome bits? ( F Badge / Whiskers , Door handles, Rear Badge / Lift handle ) I am askin as what I REALLY want is "Black Chrome" aka Hematite finish but don't want to have to spend $$ getting them re-chromed.

I was thinking about going the plastic dip route for my badges/handle etc, but has anyone messed around with black chrome. I like the chrome on the Abarth, but I think black chrome would look much more stylish. Anyone agree?

Body color looks good. How about trimming the 500 logo in the middle black to match the other blacked out bits?

I've just completed the swap to turbo black headlights and turn signals. Anyone done the door handles in black...and how did you do it?
