Has anyone rigidly mounted some (amp, etc.) under the passenger seat? I have a bracket that I want to mount there, and I'm thinking that I'll cut four holes (1/2" or so) through the carpet and pad, drop in some 3/4" spacers, and use self-tapping screws to attach to the floor. It doesn't look like there's anything under that car that would pose a problem in that area.

Anyone screwed through the floor? Any issues?

Pull your seat and see what's under there. If there are raised ribs or flanges you can screw into so you don't have to drill holed into your floor, that would be more desirable than drilling a hole in your actual floor.

If you're screwing into the floor under the seat, you're doing it wrong. Get a room.

Oh, wait, nevermind. I misunderstood the subject.

Use some Velcro to hold down the amp. I wouldn't screw it to the floor. Poking holes with promote corrosion.

Good Luck.
