View Full Version : New 16x8 wheels wrapped in 225/45 tires

Finally got them mounted. 16x8 +25. Ditched the stock 17s. The taller sidewalls make the ride sooo much nicer. I'll try to get some better shots once I clean up the car and have some more daylight.

Nicely done! What brand of rims? Any rubbing issues?

They're Avid AV16's. Nothing crazy. About 2 pounds lighter than stock per wheel. 4x100. I used hub centric rings and wobble bolts but i probably could have gotten away with the stock bolts. They lined up nearly perfectly.

Rubs the wheel well plastic at FULL lock...barely. No fender or suspension rubbing.

And one more from afar.

They look really nice. Or as my son says , sick.
What size tire do you think that you could have gone with out the spacers?

With stock 16" wheels

With stock 16" wheels

Nor sure. I had the 17s stock and I can tell you that those rubbed quite a bit. Probably has something to do with the offset on these new wheels being +25 instead of the stock +35

Love the look, unique looking wheels.

Gold looks a lot better on the Bianco than I thought it would............Nice choice!!

I had mixed feelings on the gold. Sometimes I really liked it and sometimes I didn't. I dipped them in a gun metal plasti-dip and I love the new look.

Looks great! I can see what you meant about the gold. For me, the thing that was irking me was the gold with the red stripe. I think stripeless + gold would look nice. If I had photoshop skillz, I'd photoshop that picture for you.

Look great before, even better now!

Great job. Saw these wheels online recently and was curious how they would look on our cars. Digging the look and meaty tires.

gun metal dip looks amaze

Wow those look amazing! I think they'd look really good with a dark camo wrapped abarth.

Hey, guys. I'm new to the thread.. I'm thinking of getting the same rims. Do you think I'll have a issue with rubbing. I'm on eibach sportline springs? Thanks so much for your feedback.
Fiat abarth 2012.

Sorry not the same rims. I'm getting avid av12 in machine polish. 16/8. I called the company today and they said they would drill me a set of 4x98. There originally 4x100.

10-04-2015, 01:23 PM
These are 4x100. I used wobble bolts and hub centric rings. Honestly probably didn't even need the wobble bolts. I mounted them up and the holes lined up perfectly. It's literally 1mm from center extra on each bolt.

And on Eibachs you probably won't have any rubbing issues. Mine rubs a little in the front at full lock and over large dips in the road. But my front is low. Like, really low.

That's more a problem of the ST Coilovers I'm on, though. I've got the front set as high as they can go. That and they are probably the softest Coilovers available for our cars.

Now these BABIES would look cool on your car , and look at the price $600 for 4 . lots of white and red cars in England go 5 spoke to show there brakes off, just my opinion even if you done want it , saying it like it is .

Sorry for replying on such an old thread.... but did you roll your fenders for this fitment?

09-11-2017, 07:51 PM
I do like 16" wheels best on these cars. 225's make it even better!

11-03-2017, 10:58 PM
Hi! Are you lowered at all? I wanna try that size you're running but I'm on Nue F springs and I feel like there's no way I wouldn't rip my fenders off.

love the white and gold, really nice together! Before I read someone's post about the red stripe, I took a piece of paper and covered up the red stripe on my monitor. If it was my car the stripe would be gone. It's a beaut however.

This thread totally revisited the subject of 16Ē rims for me. On lowered cars they still look great and by back is telling me I need a softer ride lol

i agree that rubbing problems would indeed happen with a 225 with NeuF Springs (what I have as well).
205ís seems the safe bet but I canít find any that will fit an 8Ē rim.
