I just picked up a new 500e over the weekend and opted for the dealer not to install the factory license plate bracket because I don't want holes in the bumper. I noticed that the 500e can take a tow hook in the front right unlike other Fiat 500s. I currently use this tow hook mount on my Porsche:

Does anyone use a similar tow hook mount for their 500e or know of a mount that works well on the 500e? Thanks!

There's a hole cover right below the right fog light. Those things are indicative of a tow hook receptacle underneath? Is there actually nothing under that hole?

This looks good, though it sits a bit lower than I would like (scraping problems?) and a tow hook mount appears far stronger. It'll have to do if I can confirm that my 500e doesn't have a tow hook receptacle in the front.

I don't think he's looking for a tow hook but a mount for the license plate where the tow hook is.

badbenzz, can you provide some instructions on how you did this? At first I thought you utilized the holes in the lower portion, but I notice that the fasteners sit above the holes. Thanks!

The point of having a mower deck or other tow hook mounted plate for my Porsche's was to be able to NOT have a front plate on the car. LOL.

I would leave plate in frunk and figured I would say, "Oh...geez...forgot to put it back on after a track day..." and offer to screw in while CHP was watching.

I never had any issues, however.

I found a hole, but there was no thread inside!
