View Full Version : New tires and wheels coming

So I'm moving to illinois and will be loving the winter weather again. After this recent Dallas weather I decided dedicated snow tires will be nice to have.

i also spent some time in Alaska and know swapping wheels is not only a pain but it's bad on the tires to repeatedly mount and u mount them.

So I ordered the following. 16x7 Sparco Assetto Gara Rims. Actually 5 of them. Plan on having a spare that I can throw in the back for some long drives I have coming up. Yes I know I will be using a centering ring and wobble bolts... After all the research I've done, I don't think there will be any issues doing this 100x4 instead of the 98x4 bolt pattern.

These tires will go on the factory 16" Abarth rims. 195/45R-16 Pirelli Winter Snowcontrol Serie 3 210 XL

Will get a pic of actual wheels mount on it this week sometime.

New wheels installed with the oem Pirelli tires.

Oem rims got the winter Pirelli tires.

Looks pretty sharp and the wobble bolts are a solid and perfection option to get a better variety of tires. 1692416926

They look great! $99 is an awesome price and picked up a 5th as a spare for some long road trips coming up.

Do these tires have the bead protector on them? They seem to have one looking at your pictures. I bought a set of these exact tires last November and they didn't have the bead protector and they look terrible on my stock 16" Rims. Tire Rack told me these tires don't come with a bead protector but this seems to dispute this.

Nope. The Pirelli snow tires have no rim protector on them and I agree they look silly without it. However I figure the stock rims are only getting a couple months a year. So it's all good.
