Fiat500USA.com Has Just Posted the Following:

There will be two versions of the Fiat 500X crossover available when the model shows up at Fiat Studios next spring. One will be the adventurous Trekking model, the other the sophisticated looking Street version. Both are well equipped and available in either front-wheel or four-wheel drive. The question is which version are you leaning towards?

Read about it here... (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Fiat500USA/~3/APMTPDWwFl8/poll-fiat-500x-trekking-or-500x-street.html)

Depends on how they are dressed. I really like the RED Trekking they show in the Viagra commercial, but that Mocha Latte Street version looks better than the Yellow Trekking version. All personal opinion, of course!jestera

The turbo engine is only a base model option? That is disappointing to say the least. Given the option, I would like an AWD Trekking w/1.4T w/MT

They need to fix that selection.

As if there's any question, Street Lounge in the greige (Arte Grigio), with the light dove/grey interior in cloth. Or maybe the brown interior in cloth or leather. As close to the beloved Mocha Latte, aka Black and Tan combo in the 500L Easy.

With maybe the add-on bronze accents. And the double sunroof. Which will give the roof an all-black look. Cooooool.

The Lounge would give me the heated seats and the heated steering wheel too.

And want whatever the safety package consists of, like the forward collision and the lane departure and all the rest. But it looks like all of that is in the Lounge Collection 6, and that includes the leather and the Beats. I don't think I can get the cloth with the full array of safety features.

It also comes with big wheels. 18" I don't really need big wheels.

The other idea would be to go straight black and white Pop. White on the outside, all black on the inside. That would have the manual, not so good for me now, but would have been my first choice before being disabled. With the turbo engine.

The color is Grigio Arte, which has a bit more light gray than the Mocha Latte. I like the Mocha Latte color a bit better. But the Grigio Arte would do in a pinch, especially with the close to matching cloth interior in the light dove/gray.

I want to see the non-metallic orange too. But I'd still probably choose the Grigio Arte. Or maybe the Bronze (matte or metallic).

Tough call without actually seeing one in the metal but I'd say Trekking w/AWD. I prefer the cleaner looks of the Street but the Trekking appears to have a bit more ground clearance (haven't seen any actual specs yet) and after last winter, that's a pretty big deal. I had to "plow" our 300' driveway with my 500 Sport a few times to get up into the garage - I was amazed how well it did with the stock Conti all seasons and the traction control disabled. That said, it's not something I want to do on a regular basis.

A very Merry Christmas to all!

The slightly higher ground clearance is available on any model that has the 4wd. That's (optional on) the Easy, Trekking, Lounge, Trekking Plus. All vehicles with the 2wd (standard) have the same ride height, Pop, Easy, Trekking, Lounge, Trekking Plus.

The ground clearance was discussed in a video Chris had linked.

That means you get to choose the look you like separate from the 4wd. I like the idea, a lot. At first I'd thought the Trekking twins would be the only ones with the 4wd, but it's optional on all but the Pop. If you love the Trekking look you can choose it in either 2wd or 4wd. If you love the Easy and Lounge look, that's also available as 2wd or 4wd.

Merry Christmas! Both models share the same ride height. It depends on what drive the car has. AWD models are a little higher.

All North American 500 and 500L use an advanced traction control system similar to the Traction Plus system sed in Europe on select models. That is one of the reasons both the 500 and 500L do great in the snow.

Just the base model Pop has the 1.4L and manual trans. I asked about the manual transmission for the other models. It looks like people aren't buying manual trans in cars like these. The other problem is logistics and the time to order and ship cars from Europe. For example, there is only so much room on a ship and they can't be filled with cars that don't sell. As it is, the 500X and the Renegade are the only two CUVs being introduced next year with manual transmissions in certain versions. There is always hope they'll add a manual like they eventually did in the 500 Lounge but I think getting the cars to market is their priority. I'm sure they'll fine tune as they go along.

Is there any ground clearance difference between the Trekking and the Street in the front apron area? ... my (aged) eyes are probably deceiving me but from some of the pics the Trekking looks to have more daylight under the nose despite the same ride height. Might be just the trimmed back off road look the Trekking has in the apron area.
