Hi :)

Looking at a winter set up and have found a good deal on Sparco Terra 16" wheels. While I can find a Red Abarth with Grey Wheel and various others with White, I can't find any with grey wheels.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has has/seen images of the Light Grey on a Black car, preferably Abarth. I am going to replace my Red Stripes/mirrors with Matte Silver or Light Grey so concerned about the hue. The Sparcos look like a Warm Grey (hint of brown) to me.

Many thanks in advance!

I haven't found what you wanted. Not sure this is even close...but it's as close as I could find, a black car with lighter grey wheels:

Your wheels appear to be a matte silver themselves.

Here's another dark car with matte silver wheels:

You'll need to see the wheels in person, in sunlight (not store lighting) to get a true feel for the color. Maybe you can roll one outside and place it against your current wheels and take a picture?

Thats the challenge, I'm in Canada and cant locate one locally to even look at and would be ordering from TireRack in the US and popping down to bring them back over the border. Did get sent this image which gives me some hope.

I think the Merc is too 'traditional silver'

Thanks! :)

Oooh, that does look good! That is a much better representation, because you also wanted to do the lower stripes in a grey.

I think you'll be happy with the grey for a winter wheel. I have the light green color car, and it really doesn't show much dirt. I would expect the same of the grey. It will appear much cleaner than a white or red wheel would.

The wheel picture of yours shows the wheel face in shadow. The light isn't bright in the first photo I posted and in the photo you posted. The color on the lower part of the SUV looks at grey as the wheels, even though it's silver. The MB wheels would also look darker and non-metallic in cloud cover.

You can see how silver appears grey in the car behind the first car I posted. I think those are silver wheels. But they definitely appear grey.

It will be a low-key look.

Say, if you don't have any winter mats for your car, you could kind of match up the greys with the footwell liners in grey. They show pictures in a regular Fiat on the Weathertech site, and you can change the colors:

It'll lighten up the interior of the car a bit, which isn't a bad thing in long winter darkness. Keeps the slush and road salt off your carpet.

I definitely want to see the wheels on the car when/if you get them. Keep us updated!

Welcome to the forum! I did a search on the forum for Sparco and found this. There were quite a few results so check it out.

Rolling stock update:

These have been my winter setup: Sparco Terra 16x7 et30 with Pirelli SnowControl Serie3 195/45-16

I'm repurposing my Ciao's to summer setup, just put an order in for the new Bridgestone RE-11 in 205/45-16, so I'll be rocking those down at Fiat's on the Dragon next month....assuming it gets warm enough to take the winter tires off!

Ryephile has a great thread on his car: http://www.fiat500usaforum.com/showthread.php?12431-Owner-Ryephile-amp-his-13-Rosso-Abarth/page3

Yeah, that pops up a fair bit. Was originally looking for a black one, but no luck. Photoshopped the above image (badly) and I'm now convinced, so here goes....

went ahead and got these a couple of weeks ago. The Sparco decals came seperately and were blue, so I always intended getting new decals cut, but was surprised on a Sparco wheel that the logo wasn't an official Sparco looking logo (spacing, the S etc). So I created some new art for a local wrap company and also got Abarth as well. Ultra sticky 3M vinyl means it will stay on, but it is thick.

Anyway, really pleased how they came out. crappy pics via iphone at dusk, but you get the idea. Will get some better images up at some point. Ride feels better than the 17"s but more roll/flex in the side wall. Overall dia of the 16 Pirelli tires slightly smaller than the 17"s (due to bigger side wall) These come with wobble bolts by the way.

Next job, Matte Metallic Grey Stripes, but that might have to wait until next year.
