Maybe it's early in the am but are they saying a regular 500 is a bit... flaccid?

I watched it on You Tube, this morning. What if someone had their favorite Abarth, and it turn into a X? Would they be upset.

I just commented in the other thread. I like this commercial. The town is gorgeous, love all the sights and sounds (special effects), the "regular" people throughout. Especially the lady with the broom at the end. I kind of want to see her in all the ads henceforth, spinning around with her sexy purr.

Even though we only see the car for a moment, it looks good! We can get an idea of the size from seeing the regular 500 first, then the 500x, and see it next to the man. It's hard to get a feeling of vehicle sizes without a person and other objects to compare it with.

Not sure they did the regular 500 any favors, even though it is smaller and less powerful than the 500x. The regular 500 in the ad is a good looking car. Does Fiat want people to think of the regular 500 as being "less than" anything?

It's a fine car in it's own right. If folks need something larger, more powerful, or with offloading capabilities, great. But don't disrespect the little car. It's not "inadequate". It's perfect for what I need these days.

Others have said, using 500 as a brand vs a model name is a bit confusing. I know they are doing it because they believe 500 has market appeal (vs Fiat) I guess.. the X looks fine enough but it's the little city commuter/runabout that does it for me and happily they seem to be reproducing like bunnies around here.
