    ROAD/RACE- M1R, yes I said R!

I thought these pictures were up somewhere but I am posting some so that people can see the car as it progresses. It is close to done but still much more to do.

The great thing is we built this car with parts on the website. RRM performance parts like intake, Ultimate etc... Suspension, Bilsteins etc... It will even RACE on 91 octane!!! That is saying something. We will debut at the double header weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. We have high hopes but we will consider this a learning weekend. I will add more pictures to this thread. If you see something you like or even want something like this built, it can be done.

Here are some more pictures of details. Hope you like it. We have built race cars many times before but this one will be refined enough to be street legal and worthy of it being a new car. RRM

Call us about the MU brakes. We can get them. They are not priced for most people but they are good and a worthy option for track guys or performance minded owners.

The CF pillar looks wavey from the rivets. Perhaps a solid backing might help flatten it out?

Yes that is wavy because the material is soooo thin. One we do not care too much because we want the wieght low as possible but it is something we will fix later I think. I do not like the look. It works though for these races.

I agree, for racing and not aesthetics, any where you can save weight is a good thing because it all adds up to achieve quicker lap times. The build is coming out nicely. It should be a giant killer on the track.

Yay you finally fenced the front! lol

But that car is what I saw them on. For the past few weeks Ive been trying to find it. But about the colored washers you use, what size and where do you get them? There are a bunch of places online, but Id like to get the right size/vendor.

Oh yeah, and all that work and you leave the rear wiper on the car?

OH, yea in touring car we race in the rain so the best place to store the wiper until right before the race. There is a lot to explain and see with this car. If you would like to know more, feel free to call the shop and ask for me, Rob. I will gladly explain how to build a race car. Understand, this is not the first race car I have built. In 30 years of racing I have built many and I used to be a SCCA Tech Inspector for at decade. The M1R did pass all inspections and it was awarded a log book and it went quicker than a WORLD CHALLENGE FIAT that had been racing all season long. I felt that was pretty good for a first outing.OH yea nad it finished both events without ever touching the roof.

Wish you guys would come out to Colorado to do racing. I think that car would kill in the Pike's Peak Hill Climb...or maybe a 500X for that?

Thanks Scott! Good to see you on the Fiat side of things as well! Hopefully our schedule for next year takes us out your way. We'll be posting up events as we lock them in. Let's hope we get to beat-up on that 500X!
