Can I wax over the decals?

I plan on using Mothers Brazilian Carnuba cleaner wax. There's a black double racing stripe over the top of the car and a black side stripe along the bottom sides. They were on the car when I bought it a couple months ago. Car is Grigio dark grey.

yes you can wax over vinyl decals just fine. Just be careful to watch for build up along the edges.

If the graphics are matte finish then you must use a wax made for it, otherwise you create shiny spots. Paste wax especially one that dries as a white residue will just get stuck along the edges of the graphics, try a Spray Wax.

A gentle brushing with a crafters natural bristle stippling brush works well at removing and buffing off any wax residue at the tape edges. Follow with a microfiber towel

Bought the Turtle Wax Ice Spray-On Wax. Leaves no residue. Seems okay. Spray on wipe off. Can be used on paint, glass, chrome, plastic, rubber trim and wheels. Streak free. Nice shine but it's only been a week so far.

I use the sonax brand. All waxes dry clear and you don't get the build up even if the product gets on decals or plastics. <3 lovin Sonax carnauba wax
