Here's the link over: http://www.abarthcars.co.uk/Site/uk/Abarth595Turismo

Once clicked on the Configurator, you'll choose the 595 Turismo. It has the 160 hp that our North American versions have, and same style seats, but comes in many more colors, including two-tone for the exterior. And more interior colors, black w/gray insert or black w/natural(brownish) insert, as well as the red and the black we have.

There are options for the Sabelt seats. But let's skip that.

Seeing the colors, including the two tone, and interiors, which do you like? If you could add a single color or two-tone combo to our North American versions, what would you want? Would you like to have a couple more interiors to choose from?

They have two reds, two grays, white, black, blue, beige, dk gray over gray, dk gray over blue, dk gray over red, beige over dk gray, beige over red, black over white. And there are dividing line colors. I'd guess the dividing lines are graphics/tape, so you could change your accent color too, if you wanted.

There are also four wheel options, none of which we have. Any of those wheels you wish we COULD have here?

Fiat will never know what we like unless we tell them.

Well I like the Dark gray over the Lighter Gray with a red line separating them and I like the Ten spoke wheels and the petal whels both 17's also I see there is a Glass fixed roof option that looks cool as well. That's what I would like if I could do the two tone option.

I've been a huge fan of the UK's 595 Turismo model and I have been converting my car over slowly with a few additions. My favorite are the 10 spoke wheels. I finally got my doors sill kick plates and now I am waiting on a shifter. I'll get there eventually.

If I could have ordered my car like this I would have chosen a metallic silver over red with a black stripe separating the two colors.

Thanks all! And glad to see Gigante decided not to wait around to see if they'd bring it over here, just set out to get the goodies one by one! Looks great!

The 10 spoke wheels are really nice looking. But then, they don't have our spokes, and I like those a lot too. They could give us the petal wheels and give the UK the spoke wheels for a year. Then there will be much swapping activity.

I came up with a possibly brilliant idea for 13VaAbarth. A graphic stripe, done like the "two gray box illusion". Are you familiar with this?

http://www.americanscientist.org/issues/feature/2002/3/why-we-see-what-we-do/3

You can click on the smaller picture to get the larger picture. I was so sure that the top gray was MUCH darker and the lower area was white. Until I put my finger over the light/dark dividing area, to see both the top and the bottom color are the same. It's the shading part that makes it LOOK like there are two colors...and if you could get a stripe done similarly, you could take this illusion on the road.

Here, this is a big image of the same thing:
http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2013/12/07/optical_illusion_shades_of_grey.html

If you could do the shaded graphic right at the belt line, with a narrow black stripe, I bet it would look two tone. Because of the shape our cars have already. I think it would work especially well on the grays and silver.

Who knows? Maybe if enough folks mention things they'd really like to have, Fiat will consider it!

Unfortunately... We've already been teased by MOPAR.

I wouldn't continue holding your breath for any of these custom colors or ABARTH Parts in the North American Market.

Andree, thank you for this fun post. The link with the two grey box illusion was really interesting.

Who knows if the ABARTH was a true world car we'd probably be bored with all the similarities, we always seem to want what we can't have; however, with right connections and for a price you can have some of these bits from the UK offerings.

The other concern is our dollar continues to decline against the British pound, making that shift knob difficult to purchase to complete the interior look of my car. Perhaps in a weak moment I will take the plunge.

I'd kill for the two tone black/white with red pinstripe.

I've debated doing white vinyl on the lower half of my Nero Abarth cause it's the closest I can get to it

You should wrap above the red line in black! I have a car in that scheme in Forza and it looks amazing in Grigio/Nero

Gigante your car looks awesome and those wheels I bet they set u back a bit cause of the pound to dollar rate. Also see ur in Nova area wouldn't mind check your car out in person sometime. Slowbird only problem with the vinyl on half of the car is there will be a Edge to it and dirt might get trapped if there is a gap and after time it will scratch up the paint. I kinda wonder how much it would cost to do a bottom half two tone paint job in a body shop.

My wife bought the Abarth and sold it to me a week after she bought it because she thought it was too slow. I've really enjoyed it the last 2 years but I thought it was a bit boring in all grey and I hated that little vinyl stripe on the rocker panels. I got rid of the stripe and took her (my Abarth not my wife) over to a paint shop where we came up with the metallic silver paint. It is a car that you can individualize with a clear conscious. I think this is fantastic.

Hello 13vAbarth, thank you for the kind words. I did not pay attention to your sig. That would be great to meet up one day, DC fiats is having a wine tour and drive through NoVa this Saturday. We are meeting in Haymarket, VA at 10:00am, this is off of I-66 and I-15. Shoot me a pm if you are interested in attending.

Back to the topic at hand. The exchange rate has really dampened my purchases; however, most of these items were purchased from others who bought them as part of a kit and did not use them. Many buy the tourismo and competizione for the performance and then upgrade to the essessee kit which provides our option wheels. This is done at the dealer and many of the wheels sets have less than 5 miles on them. If it were not for my carbon fiber rear wing exstension and mud flaps my car would look more true to the look.

Lots can be had you just have to search the UK sites. A favorite of mine is Abarthisti.com

I'm really enjoying this thread. Thank you for your time.

Here are a few. The vinyl stickers on the rear are just covering up a track incident. If I get a touch up they'll be gone. The paint job cost around $1,000.

Totally loving the silver! And looks like they did a good job, that's not too expensive. Maybe you can mention who did the lower silver painting, in case someone else would like to give their Fiat an accent.

Is the little silver stripe above the main silver area painted or a tape? Because I'm thinking, if folks wanted to give the car the accent color like on the two-tone Turismo, they could use a tape next to the painted area. Making the color accent tape changeable.

All painted, the 3-4" wide piece under the windows can't be seen well, goes from windshield and dithers out to nothing at the tailgate. I'd suggest finding a hot rod paint shop and get their suggestions. There is a new line of PPG paints out that will boggle the mind. Then again, there's always candy apple red! The Fiat/Abarth is ready for anything you can think up and more. I think that like the Mini, the wilder the better. If the word "cute" freaks you out, I'd skip this because you'll be hearing it a lot. Did I mention I have a Catless DP. lol

Hello Andree,

That is a molded piece of fiberglass that covers the area that is exposed when you remove the rear seat bottoms. Many refer to this as a rear seat delete and some vendors offer a kit with carpet to fill this space. I received this from the vendor who produced my roll bar (full bolt in at all the seatbelt mounting points). They put a semi gloss finish on it and it looked acceptable so I installed it as is. I've now placed Abarth 595 Turismo decal on it(lol).

I've attached some pictures to share of how it looks today. I also have included a picture of my wife's 500c Lounge - she had a FIAT first and began the craze in our family.

Ohhhh! I LOVE your wife's Lounge. The wheels and the red top on the gray. Is it Grigio or Granito?

Fiat should consider the red top for the Abarth too. It would go perfectly with all the colors, red looks great on Gharbeson's hood.

Love what you did with the sticker on the glossy panel, looks professional.

And the back cargo area is still a cargo area, with the webbing! Yes, you can still run an errand to the store! LOL! Cool.

Hello Andree, thank you for the kind words. My wife absolutely loves her lounge. It's a 2012 and is Grigio in color with a Bordeaux top and red/Blk interior. She would love an AbarthC automatic but due to the fact that it is not available with the same top she does not want it. I would so enjoy to be a two Abarth family and her suspension mods would carry over to the new Abarth. She would accept the Granito color, it's a bit darker than the Grigio with smaller metallic flake.

We just returned from a day out with DC fiats enjoying the VA country roads and vineyards. She drove home and love the added power and said "I want an AbarthC but I don't need it"... Now if I could manage a Bordeaux top I'm in business:)

The decal, by Boris, turned out quite amazing. The race net did great today in keeping everything back there, cargo area, during our spirited drive - all fun. Yup, I volunteer to go market all the time, even if she just needs butter;)

I'd love to see Fiat do tops in black, gray, red, white, for all the models. They could pull the beige one, as they don't even offer the Mocha Latte on the regular 500s now. The beige doesn't match anything. I'd also like to add in brown, but I don't know which brown, as the Espresso exterior is a different brown than the Pop cloth interior and the Lounge leather interior.

They also don't offer a black over brown leather interior, which I think would look smart. I like black and brown together.

The white top would be great with white, of course, and also with any Abarth with the white striping. It would also look great on cars styled like the 1957 model, with white mirror caps. Or if they ever do the Sport in a convertible, with the white interior.

All the cars have an option of red interiors, the red top is a no-brainer to offer on all models.
