I have heard that the Abarth gets 135 HP with sport button off and 160 HP with sport button on. With the 500T, is their a HP difference between sport button off and on? Does anyone have any numbers?

It just changes throttle response on ours. It can be enabled through a tune.

It makes the steering heavier too, works quite well.

I'd read there's no change in HP, the throttle response is quicker. The way it was explained was you use less range of motion on the gas pedal to get the same response. If you were to push the gas pedal further without sport mode enabled, you'd get the same response as sport mode on and less pedal. So MPG might be a bit less because you'll drive more aggressively with less foot effort.

The actual number difference: HP stays the same; TQ goes from 160 to 170 per Fiat's explaination. You get different throttle response and different steering feedback, that is all that happens.

The HP on the Abarth is the same on and off Sport, only the Tourque increases from about 150 to 170. Also steering and throttle as noted previously.

The last dyno I saw of an abarth with sport mode off was 135.

Of all that was stated some was right and some wrong...this is the only completely correct statement explaining 160HP always and 150-170 torque change. As for the dyno...probably right since these #'s Fiat offered are not likely to be at the wheels.
