My Pop now has a inexpensive cold air intake created from a mixture of simple parts.
K&N RC 9630
2" x 1 1/2" ABS reducer
12" x 1 1/2" ABS Pipe (1.900 OD)
3' x 2" exhaust heater intake hose. (I am looking for a better quality hose as this will pinhole)

The filter fits snugly into the reducer and the hose fits over the pipe and into the existing rubber elbow.

Now that you've had it in for a little while how do you like it? Have you noticed any improvements in MPG or power? Did it change the way the engine sounds at all? Any of this feedback would be great!

It sounds good but I removed my muffler to improve the "sportiness" factor. Unfortunately it does not provide the same whoosh as it did on my 68 mustang! The performance and fuel mileage appeared to improve slightly < 0.1 litres/100 km.

After checking the labor involved and the long trips to home depot(I`m in a rural environment)I checked for cheap alternatives to the cold air intake, and found this listing in ebay,I just got it.
