Purchased a new trekking 2 days ago. Traded in my 2011 subaru Outback.
Had the the upgraded 6.5 inch nav screen but no Beats or XM.

I cant tell you haw disappointed I am in the sound out of this unit with what they call "premium " speakers.
Has anyone upgraded the door speakers and if so how is the sound now.

Thanks!!!

It's on the list....

The stock speakers are terrible.

I did not upgrade any speakers but I did add rear tweeters. The speaker covers in the rear doors make it look like there's rear tweeters there but there's nothing behind those covers. Now I have a nice sound in my ear thanks to this addition.

I have the Beats system and will at some time replace the other speakers in the doors.

Hi, I just went through this on my Easy without beats. The stock midrange speakers are 2 ohm units made in Italy. I tried a set of rockford fosgate component midrange speakers and they sounded much worse than Fiats speaker choice, believe it or not. I changed out the stock 4 ohm tweeters, the sound is much better. High quality tweeters in the rear doors make a tremendous difference as well. The main difference was adding a kenwood powered subwoofer to the rear tray where the beats sub would go. It was only $159 on Amazon, the amount of sound and kick is awesome now and it takes up hardly any space. I have less than $300 into the sub and 4 tweeters and am more than happy with the whole system. The wiring is a pain because Fiat hides the wires so well but that is another story.

Are the rear doors wired for tweeters.

Which ones fit this car?

Thanks!!!

No they are not. You use the same wires for the other speakers. My tweeters came with some adaptor do dad that reduces the power to the tweeters, or something like that. Am certain that my stereo experts reading this can explain it properly.

"Adapter do dad" = resistor.

Thanks Tweak. I knew someone here would know what dat adaptor do dad was.

Either that or you are referring to a crossover...either way it deals with "feeding" the tweeters properly.

Hi,

do you have to remove the whole door panel to replace the speakers ?

Many thanks

Hm, this seems to be about the 500. Does not necessarily mean it is the same for the 500L. But it seems feasible ... seems I have to stick with the stock speakers :-(

Has anyone tried the Alpine E 6 speaker kit? Seems like a good deal at $125 shipped
