Has anyone replaced a top front strut mount yet. I was wondering if it can be done by compressing the spring without removing the bottom mount?

The strut has to come out.

Thanks, that"s what I thought would be required, but I hoped different. Any thing special I need to know? I have the ability to do this type of work, but have never done it on the Fiat. So far, all of my DIY project on the Fiat have gone to plan, and I greatly appreciate the tech. support from the forum members.

Search for Boris's youtube video...

but if you can air rachet that top strut nut, that's way easier than allen wrench with socket...

Thanks for the help and video, the project went off without a hitch. Using pneumatic tools the project took slightly longer than 1 hour to replace both front strut mounts. My local dealer had the parts in stock at $25.00 CAN.
