So I just did my first mod on my 2014 500T (right at 1000 miles) and it was well worth it. I had a hard time at first finding a good shop that would chop the muffler off and fix me up but I ended up finding a great place to do it. It was less than 30 minutes from muted muffler to Abarth sounding awesomeness. I highly recommend doing this is you are running the stock 500T setup. It is quick, inexpensive and aurally pleasing. $80 and 30 minutes for complete awesomeness. I am sure there is some power gain but I was more concerned with the awesome sound gain.

I will post video later tonight. I am building my custom intake on Friday, excited about that.

That was my first mod as well, remove muffler and replace tip so you don't see anything different. Nice.

Did this on the former Sport and LOVED it, left my Abarth alone of course. Look forward to the custom intake!

My first mod on my 2014 500T was the muffler delete which instantly made the car sound infinitely more bad ass. Then I did the DIY intake, which works as well (if not better) that the one I had on briefly that cost 4 times as much. Two simple mods and lot more oomph and WOW that sound. Check the video for all the audio goodness.

Sounds great! and not loud when you are not on full throttle. Also, very good video, used a go-pro?
