U mean 125, not 152, right?
That Ford has no business over 110 anyway...

Of course this was on a legal race track, right? :-)
Just be careful and safe please.

My tops are 105 in the Fiat (speedo)
165 in my old 03 VW GTI (speedo, rev limit)
128 in my old 96 Ford Explorer Sport (GPS, drag limit)
112 in my 08 Jeep Wrangler (GPS, drag limit)

I want to take the Abarth faster but I'm not as crazy as I was in my "youth"
And yes, all 3 other vehicles were / are heavily modified.

Impressive!
So how did you override the electronic speed limiter the Abarth has? What manual boost controller do you use?

Fastest I've been in one of my cars was 160+ in my big turbo Neon SRT-4. Speedo pegged out at 160 and car continued to pull. This of course was achieved on an abandoned stretch of highway somewhere in Mexico. Fastest I've gone in the fiat has been 80. I don't like driving fast on public highways/roads because I don't like paying reckless driving tickets also car isn't lowered and I don't trust the factory installed craprellis that are showing terrible wear at only 16k miles on the clock.

I dont know how some people say its governed, since when i boughtnit the dealer guy said it is governed, first thing i did was check its top speed only "128mph" was the best it could do..... Now i have tons of mods to it and it has reached its limit of 152mph a bigger final drive would be great or if fiat would have added a 6th gear it would go over 160 easy.... The manual boost controller i wouldnt recommend it to anyone that cant check the AFR's since its a pain in da ass to get it right.... Ur just increasing and decreasing boost because on cold weathers u have to decrease the knob because it gives u more boost and goes to limp mode, but i already have all the calculations to it..... I can make it go up to 22psi no problem and it stays there, it also spools quicker......i always have it 18-20 daily driver and racetrack 22+ because daily driver 22+ it goes to limp mode.....

Well, before I even bought ours, I knew the top speed because I wound her out to the limiter on the freeway with the dealer: 88mph. Yep, and the limiter is precise... Of course, at that speed, there's a lot of wind resistance and I'm suckin' juice rapidly so there's not much point. Drop down to 75 and it's much more efficient.

I dont think Abarths are limited they just need the HP to get up there..... Last time we checked my car gave 229 HP and 239TQ, there are some abarths on youtube if u search 300hp abarth u see some damn fast abarths from serial tuning going past 160mph, im waiting for my factory warranty to run out to get mine past 300hp at the wheels, they are capable ofcourse with forged pistons, bigger turbo, bore the block, cams etc.... If i cant theres a chance for a 30 shot of nos to run in the safe side.... I lost my dyno sheets and since I have to drive 2 hrs for a dyno i havent gone again, hopefully this sunday i can record my top speed again at 152 or atleast what i have done before 149mph
