So after to much winter and months of waiting I took 1/2 day off work to install my re-mapped ECU from TORK motorsports

MAN AM I DISAPPOINTED I only soiled myself twice

FANTASTIC !!! RPM from 3000/6000 very quick 80mph in third gear faster than I could keep my eyes on the road and look at the dash, shifted at 6000, lose of about 1200 rpm per shift

JOHN FIRST OF ALL, GREAT TURNAROUND,, I sent it on a Monday nite, called to see if you had received it on Friday, you had already completed the tune and sent it back, I received it on Monday so counting the weekend a 6 day turn,, pretty darn good

This forum rocks, good vendors, good community

Ron,

Can't believe you waited so long to install it and get it done. I feel exactly the same and love my Tork tune, happy things are finally warming up and it makes me want to drive my car that much more! Congrats!

Hi James, how are we looking for OBD-2 interface? Still don't have a way to have my car down for 5-6 days, as it's my only DD... this is murder!

I understand and know exactly what you are talking about. I forced myself to take a 1/2 day off and then worked late to get most of my stereo upgrade completed. Now I have to get the intake, your cover, your front bar, ATM boost gauge and my Neu-F rear bar installed. I think tomorrow might just have to be a 1/2 day at work :naughty: We will have a house full of guest this weekend and I will not have time to play with my car. Bummer!

I want to add to this,, I was very reluctant to have my ECU "pry'd" open,, well that's not the case,, it was obviously CAREFULLY deconstructed and then seal'd and put back together, it looks nicer than I had hoped for

And I don't know the actual added HP numbers but I will say that WITHOUT A DOUBT the difference is noticeable and I havnt even given it the time it needs to recalibrate itself yet

Tork sells their stuff at damnfastdd.com. They also have a room on this forum in the vendors section.

Thank you so much for the reply. I even saw someone is working on a OBDII port tune. Super excited thing are underway. The locals in my area need beware...I knew I stumbled onto a great lil platform now I've found it's steroids supplier lol.

I sent my Ecu overnight on thur and got it overnight back by sat lol. James went out of his way much appreciated, I bugged them enough ;). The tune is unbelievable, took about 150miles before fully kicking in and it's only gotten quicker. The power delivery is so smooth and it just keeps pulling and pulling. I plan on getting her dyno'd soon. I'm very happy, can't wait to hit the 1/4mile.

I've seen dyno charts on almost all on the assorted boxes out there. The charts were all done on the same dyno, a dynapac. That includes the dyno numbers for the new xxxxxxx unit (name withheld so as to not start a flame war). The newest madness box is the only one I haven't seen charts for. From what I've seen the tork tune has the best torque and HP numbers available to us at this time. The curves are very linear without the lumps and bumps that all the boxes seem to have. The smoothness, power, and low afr's (11's to low12's) are all to die for. I feel very glad that I didn't waste my time waiting for the other options to be released.
All I'm saying is if you want a tune, do yourself a favor and look at all the dyno charts. Do your homework about a tune before you buy it. It's worth the time and effort.

If Tork ever comes out with an OBDII handheld tuner option, that would be very attractive to many, including myself.

I'm not entirely sure other than holy ****. I didn't take any measurements directly, but I know that the pre-tension that I was using on my old turbo was a lot less than what this one requires, all other things being equal. I wish I knew and had more info, but from the driving experience, a) it spools up faster and boost comes on and stays pegged/steady. b) the car winds out better up top. c) there is less of the pronounced 'whistle' under WOT...the volume is about half that of my older turbo. That's about all I can comment on, other than the obvious difference in where it was made, and the stronger Honeywell influence on the marking/brandings compared to my older 1446. Visually, all the internals looked the same size/proportions.

In genital it is just the revision number of the model itself. So "AA, AB, AC, AD, and AE" presumably all came before "AF"... sometimes a revision will be skipped and never even see the light of day, so I don't know how many actual versions there might be of our beloved 1446. And of course then there's the 1448's that came out mid 2013 that are now no longer in the Abarth production engines (I think they bought time with the 1448's until the new "AF" 1446's came out and also until production of the 1446's shifted to the new factory location, but am not certain). Looks like now we are back to the 1446's, but all I know is wow and yes yes yes and what a pleasant surprise!
