So I finally picked up my new (used) 2013 Abarth and I was able to take a good long drive on some nice high speed back roads.
I noticed twice that the car suddenly and violently changed direction while driving in either a straight line or a slight corner. The road was certainly uneven but not terrible by any means.
The car has obvious torque steer when in first or second gear when flooring it, and this darting felt similarish but I was not hard on the gas, only revving along in third gear at around 50 mph or so. The road was certainly uneven but not terrible by any means.
Is this normal behavior for these cars and just something I need to get used to? I have noticed that on the Highway I cannot look away from the road even for second or the car wants to drift out of it's lane as well. I have had very precise handling small sports cars before, but none that exhibited this behavior. I am wondering if the car needs an alignment (it has less than 2K miles)?
