I am trying to find the money and time to be there and run HPDE 2. I hope some other Fiat/Abarth owners can make it!

I've been looking at those NASA HPDE events also, but I think Talladega is a bit far compared to Carolina Motorsports Park and maybe even VIR.

Barber is a really nice track, I did an HPDE with PCA many years ago, I would like to go back again but this will not be this time.

You should check the THSCC, HPDE, we have a good program. We Do VIR North in April, CMP in June and VIR Full in Sept. See link.
The date for 2014 are not up yet but it will be similar to 2013.

I had an awesome time this weekend at Barber.
It rained Friday night but had cleared up nicely by Saturday morning. Saturday stayed a little cold because of a persistent wind; 48 was the high I think.
Sunday started off very cold (there was ice on my car when I got to the track at 7am) but quickly warmed up and reached a high of 70.
Barber Motorsports Park is an amazing facility with a very challenging road course. NASA Mid South and South East regions did an excellent job managing the event and keeping to the timetable.
Woody racing was also present and we both ran our Abarths in HPDE 2. Woody's fastest time was 1:56.22, mine 1:56.55.
If you look at the times (link below) for the racers and Time Trials in their fully prepared race cars I think you will agree our Abarths put on a great show!
We surprised a number of folks at the track and had many coming over and asking us about the cars and why they were so fast
Hopefully this will mean more people thinking about racing Abarths in the future.

Pictures and video will follow as soon as I get time to edit some footage.

Nice shots...amazing how the wheel center caps stand out even when the car is on the track!

Thank you.
I wasn't sure I had made the right choice on those wheels when they first arrived. But now I have the Toyo's mounted and the right spacers I am very happy. They look great I think, weigh 3lb less than the stock 17's and were only $419 for the set on eBay!
Thanks to Allison's Automotive for a great deal.

My fastest lap of the weekend.
Sitting at home watching it on the computer I can see plenty of places I could make up some time.
I hope I get to go back one day.
