Just got back from talking with Terry Hines (Fiat Manager with Olathe Kansas Fiat) about starting up a Fiat club here. There was one here at one time, but think it's gone to the way side. We had a sit down about possible ideas for things to do to start out with. Probably won't do a lot with, or about it until next year after all the holidays. Probably will do an initial "meet and greet" at the studio, and possibly throw out ideas for things. Activities mentioned were meeting up with our dogs at an off leash dog park, at an Italian restaurant in Westport and/or at the one off of Johnson Drive next to the Hobby Lobby (owners of that place are Ducati motorcycle enthusiasts, and the food is really good), a drive to Weston, Parkville, Going to a Royals and/or T-bones game, etc. I even mentioned maybe a 3 day weekend trip to Branson (a long way off), the roads that way are really fun, and there's both indoor and outdoor things to do....etc. he said he's got some customers that are interested, figured I would post here for the same reason. Feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks

I mentioned about doing a possible "rally" thru the Flint Hills next month. We would meet at 7926 Southwest 10th St., Topeka (on the west side)(not sure of the business...looks like a bar, so figure if we met at 10am...the parking lot would be usable). From there it's about a 2 hour drive to Council Grove, KS along Hwy 4 west to 177 south. Lots of twists and turns and elevation changes. Scenic routes....etc. We could lunch at Hays House in Council Grove...the would do a group reservation...separate room for 12-20 party..or set a table aside for a smaller group. From there further south along 177 to I35 south of Emporia, or you could tour Council Grove's historic spots and take 56 hwy back..or choose your own route. Could do it either Saturday or Sunday.sigpic

The Italian Car Show is this Sunday from 11-2. It's at Zona Rosa off of Barry Rd and I29. The second flyer shows how to come and go for the show if you want to display your car. It's first come, first serve as far as parking goes..they're not holding spaces for clubs...so once the spots fill up..it's filled. Hope to see everyone there.
