...so Otis Inc. LA has M12x1.25 24mm lug bolts in black. Stock bolts are M12x1.25 22mm. Has anyone confirmed that the extra 2mm is no problem? I ask because it's a no refund purchase.

I seriously doubt that 2mm longer will be a problem. I have much longer (60mm with 15mm spacers) on my Sport with stock wheels.

I had the same problem happen twice i.e. oem lug bolt caps stripping/coming loose. Replaced with oem lug bolts, but looking for a better alternative. I tried emailing Otis, but they did not reply. Ideally, if they came in black chrome in the right size, I might buy a set.

Five O, I talked to Phil at Otis today, and he put the above bolts onto the website because I told him Fiat owners might be interested.

200, as I remember, the stock length is about 54.1mm, so that would put your 60mm bolts at somewhat shorter, effectively. Except, how long is the thread portion of the 60mm you got?

I was wrong. The overall length is about 75mm. The grip length is 50mm. I believe that a stock bolt has about a 33mm grip length - maybe a little less.

I bought spacers and lug bolts from Phil - great guy to deal with. Phone seemed to work best when I had questions.

Thanks, lammie2000! That's what I needed to know.

Phil at Otis indicated that these tuner lug bolts can be used to replace the OEM lug bolts: http://otisincla.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=117_76_148&product_id=1519

It's also 2mm longer. I hope it will fit as they have a no refund policy. Can any one confirm?

Given lammie's data, the extra 2mm will be no issue...but I intend to pull a bolt and measure useable depth (roughly) just to make me feel better before I order. Will advise.

Do you know what type of finish is applied to the black bolts? Just a black zinc oxide?

modular, on the finish, you'd best call Phil directly.

After a careful look at the current bolts, I can see no reason the extra 2mm would be a problem. Weather is keeping me from pulling a rim today, but I can't think of anything in/on the hub that the slight extra depth would threaten to hang on. Anyone else have any idea?

I measured the depth that both the front and rear hubs will take before you would get into issues with lug bolts scraping the backplate. The fronts will accept about 20mm longer than the stock length of lug bolt, and the rears will accept about 26mm longer. 2mm longer is insignificant by far.

Thanks for confirming my eyeball view, lammie! I'm gonna order those babies.

I'll prob order the tuner ones as rec by Phil. Looks like one of the best inexpensive upgrade to date.

OTIS has both black and chrome lug bolt covers as well that have very favorable reviews.

Ordered these tuner lug bolts from Otis LA http://otisincla.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=117_76_148&product_id=1519

Phil was a pleasure to work with. Fits perfectly. Solid one piece instead the cheap, heavy 2 piece oem lug bolts which head piece has a tendency to strip if not careful. Also lighter too so shaved some unsprung weight, plus these tuner lug bolts prevent scratching the sides of wheel lug holes.
