Yesterday, musicsurf and I went for a very spirited drive into the Devil's Triangle in East TN. I have been hyping this road to Mike (musicsurf ) and hoped that he agreed that it was an amazing, fun and technical drive. I have always liked this road better than the Dragon. Less traffic, no cops and none of the Dragon snobs to tell you how to or not how to drive.

Here are a couple of photos from the run. We have some GoPro that I may post later if I can find time. Anyone else here done this road?

The final stop in front of the famous Brushy Mountain prison.

We pretty much had the road to ourselves

Very fun road - I enjoyed it when we were there in the spring.

Hey James, I must say that we ran it to the edge of the limit this time. Not having a train of cars following allowed us to really push it. Needless to say, it was an amazing run.

Great photos too! The one with the reflection in the side of the Abarth is nice, you should stick it on the FIAT Facebook page!

It definitely was to the limit and I enjoyed this run more than the Dragon. It's just so technical and the sets of switchbacks are so much fun. I wish I would have gone and done it again, but I had other roads on my mind so I will just have to wait to run it again in spring. Oh, my first run ever on the Dragon was at night. Even after I have a few runs on Devil's Triangle under my belt I don't think I would be comfortable running it at night. There's just no forgiveness for a mistake there.

Hey Brett, that is Trevor you quoted. ;)

I enjoyed the Triangle back in spring as well, it'd be cool to hit it again next year for our meet.

I am pretty sure I mentioned to Mike the Triangle, glad he and you got to run it, it really is in so many ways more fun than the Dragon, some rougher road surfaces and fast corners can result in a bad day though if you aren't careful!

I drove the triangle last year and it puts the tail to shame. Definitely not a road for people that don't have the best car control skills because it has lots of blind corners and is much more technical.

The Triangle is definitely another level in road skill. There are some parts of the road that are downright nasty (in a good way). I like to run it east to west best as the other lane has more areas that have fallen down the side of the hill and been repaired.

Here is some video. There is a part where my car got squirelly because I hit the brakes too hard coming into a turn, it scared the crap out of me.
