So I've had this clunk/rattle coming from my passenger side rear for almost 2 months now. It doesn't happen when i hit larger bumps, mostly when i drive over uneven road surface.

My lonely wagon in the background.

Got under the car today, checked bolts, yanked on things, even jacked up and let down the rear beam a bunch of times to find the noise. At the end of it all im 90% sure its my Neu-F torsion bar "flexing" when one side of the beam moves opposite to the other. The bar is torqued to spec but sits slightly further over to the passenger side. I have a feeling this is where the noise is coming from. I did not have my friends 21mm socket to adjust it today but i will try and do that soon. Checked out the BC coils and everything is snug, the only thing that makes some noise is the spring perch. When you yank on the spring and it moves against the metal perch that obviously makes some noise, but i doubt thats what the sound is during operation as it would come from both sides.

All that rake!

Has anyone else had a similar experience with aftermarket coils/a torsion bar?

Yes, I also had this problem and I removed the bar, then took a wire brush to the knurled ends that got the paint out of the grooves. After that I retorqued to specs and used some blue locktite. I have not heard that noise since and it has been 4 or so months. On a different matter, I had to jump off a curb last night because the traffic after the football game was ridiculous and I thought it was going to damage something but it was all good. I would still be in traffic if I didn't.

I had a problem with the rear strut perch ring of my BCs coming loose and making a jingling/rattling noise when going over uneven road surfaces. Had a hell of time finding the noise. I thought it was my RR BRSB so I re-torqued it and the noise was still there. It drove me nuts. I finally started banging around the rear suspension with my fist and found the problem. I used some red loctite to keep the perch ring secure and all is good now.

I have the exact same setup as you do and I have no noises whatsoever from the car which is odd considering that coilovers are usually noisy.. Does your noise sound like something is rubbing/hitting against each other or a clunking noise?

Awesome! I will try this! Haha holy crap, but hey nothing wrong with a little italian job style escape if you have the ride height!

Hmm okay, yeah when i was messing around down there i thought it might be the perch cause that made some metal rattling noises similar to what i have heard. But both sides made about the same noise and i only get it from one side while driving. I will still check this out though, thanks for the tip!

Its more like a rattling clunk if that makes sense. Not as harsh as a hitting a bump stop clunk but still clunky metal sound.
