I am currently in the market for winter tires and rims.

I found this online,

True 4x98 pattern and the price is about right.

I am planning to buy from that website, however, I am afraid that when they come, they will not fit for some reason, and I have to return them to the seller and pay shipping.

Am I worrying for nothing?

Thanks for your help.

Couple of thoughts:

1) RTX is a Canadian replica manufacturer. Some replicas can be weaker than the originals...buyer beware.

2) The bolt pattern (4x98) is correct, but the RTX Milan website shows a 73.1 Center Bore on all their 16" Milans and only a 15" available in 4x98 (it has a 58.0 Center Bore) while we have a 58.1 Center Bore. You'll need some help there.

3) If a 16" is really available in 4x98, the offset is likely 42mm...only 7mm or so over stock, so that's probably OK. However, their only 16" Milans shown are 16x7, so a wider rim vs. stock 16x6.5. A wider rim is the last thing you want for a winter tire.

Honestly, look at this package: http://www.tirerack.com/snow/preferredpackages.jsp

For $856 (plus another $171.96 for TPMS to avoid annoyance) you're out the door and assured to fit. That's vs. $450 plus shipping, plus tires, plus TPMS, plus worry. Just saying..they are offering rims the manufactuer doesn't list as available, why?

Thanks for your reply!

I would go with Tirerack, however I am located in Canada, ordering to Tirerack presents some annoyances of its own.

I am trying to find a good cheap solution for winter tires since I was laid off a few months ago.

This is another option:

Those are Chinese imports (you takes youz chances...) and list no centerbore spec...I just don't know enough. Sorry.

Have you looked for some takeoffs or a set on a wrecked vehicle?
