Surprised we have not seen availability of 2014's yet, I mean it's the middle of Oct already. Any ideas?

Very strange indeed. I'd be curious as to the 2013 inventory levels right now. Our studio is LOADED with cars.

Fiat wants to build as many 13s so they can to post higher sales volume vs 2012.

Aren't all the 500Ls 2014 year model?

Yeah, maybe I should have pointed out that I was specifically speaking to the 500 Abarth's. Supposedly new wheels etc, but seems that Fiat is on their own model rollout schedule as has been pretty typical in the past. Have a lease ending next June and was actually hoping to see 2015's in Aug/Sept in which case I would extend my lease a couple of months.

Fiat has the manuals for all the 2014 vehicles: http://www.fiatusa.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html

The Nero Puro is available also, on the 2013 Abarth, here's one local example: http://www.fiatusaofberkeley.com/new/FIAT/2013-FIAT-500-Berkeley-CA-98f0b7d90a0a00024d63d03952a5f863.htm

And yes, I did check the window sticker to be sure it was Nero Puro.

Considering all the things Fiat did during 2013, I'd just roll over the current everything, as 2014. They brought us the 500L. AND the 500e in California. Plus the Gucci with new options, and the GQ Cabrio. Cattiva Sport and Sport Turbo.

I like the way Fiat does it, spreading out things over a year period, rather than clumping everything at the beginning of a model year. Even adding in a new color without a big announcement.

They always have something interesting going on, somewhere. Spreads out the excitement, spreads out the work they have to do too. Everything doesn't have to change on a calendar date or even when it's expected. It may not have to change at all.

Oh, Word?

I was at the dealer yesterday and their selling point on the car was that fiat only sending around 400 2014 abarth to the states in the first quarter so they'll be few and far between. Could very well have been a sales ploy though. I would say the studio I was at had about 10 abarth most being higher optioned cars.
