Hello all, new guy here. Just bought Prima Edizione #500 as a used car with 58 miles on it, previously owned by Chrylser Corp, registered in Michigan.

I read somewhere online that this one was previously locked out from PE orders and was destined to a museum or charity auction, but alas, I found it on a retail lot. Same lot also has #5 for sale (also as I understand it unavailable for initial PE orders)...let me know if you're interested and I'll pass on the info.

Will post pictures soon.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your car! Prima Edizione #5 belonged to Laura Soave. She had Prima #9 and Prima #5. Below is Prima #9. This is the car she put miles on. This picture was taken in NYC in front of the hotel during the 500c media drive. I met up with her at lunch and asked if I could post it and she told me about her cars. I wondered if she still had them.

Now that is an interesting bit of FIAT trivia that the car was owned by the North American FIAT boss!

Yeah, it was burried in one of my posts here on the forum. It would be cool to have the car. Number 500, too. I think number 1 went to Marchionne. Can't remember at the moment.

Yes, and now #5 has been sold by the dealer I bought #500 from. I wonder if the person who bought it has any idea what they bought or were they simply looking for a neat Fiat 500. Since it only had something like 88 miles on it (and only 19 months or so left on the warranty), my guess is the buyer knew that this was at the least a special edition Fiat.

I know I was interested in both #5 and #500 but I preferred the white exterior over the red, so 'settled' for PE #500.

#5 here. Didn't know exactly what I had, just knew it was gonna be fun! And this car has not let me down. Definitely didn't know who first owner was, thanks for the info.

Congratulations! Not only did you find an interesting car, but then you found this forum. AND then you found this ancient thread...! That is what they call Serendipity, Gina! Welcome!

Hi All,
So interesting to see this thread revived.

As an FYI, we've decided to sell PE #500 soon. We aren't driving it enough to justify ownership and we'd love to have another Fiat enthusiast get it. We've kept the mileage very low (less than 1500 total!) but have driven it regularly to keep the engine, electronics, and battery in shape. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM. Otherwise keep an eye out for a classified posting.

Hey there,
I'm really stoked to find this thread because I was wondering why someone would sell such an awesome car. Now I know why. So long story short, I bought #500 today and I will have her tomorrow. I'm super happy that you took great care of her. I'm here in the bay area also. San Jose to be exact.
