It is probably because your crankcase ventilates back to the throttle body. Not sure if the turbo does that as well but it might. That is all part of the pollution control systems. You could install an oil catch can to intercept it. I did on mine, but I don't have a turbo. Hence very little bypass, but there still is some.

I'm not sure if there is one available for the FIAT 500 yet. I know a guy has one for the Dart

not sure if this will fit the FIAT

here is a link to a post talking about where they should be installed
http://www.dodge-dart.org/forum/tork-motorsports/11736-little-confused.html

They have universal ones for as little as $20

it may be a weekend project to put it on, but could be just as fun!

BTW, installing one as a closed system will not change the way your car emits pollution. I installed one similar to this one because it has baffled chambers that are part of the milled housing as opposed to steel wool or sponge type of material. Of course I didn't use the filter as that would have opened up the system.

Oil Catch Can is the way to go

Unless the 500L is different, all the MultiAir 1.4T's I'm familar with [500T, Abarth, Dart] all have a factory catch can system that bolts to the valvetrain cover. It's possible the OP's is not functioning/installed correctly.
