Thinking about adding spacers to my 17" wheels.

Anyone know the size i need to make tires flush to car?

and will they affect the ride or handling in any way?

Forum member Kurumi has some and I think he mentioned he felt a 10mm front and a 12.5mm rear would be his optimal choice but just in case I'd shoot him a msg or wait for more replies.

Everytime I see your avatar I think it's my own post...lol. :D

I went with 215/40 tires on my 17" wheels and 5mm spacers front and rear gave me the look I wanted.
Widening the stance will help the handling and improve the height/width ratio. Just make sure to use quality hub centric spacers.

10mm spacer with stock tire (205/40/17) looks just perfect. With 215/40/17 it’s too much.
It was rubbing slightly on the front left side so I had to take them out. Like TREVC said, 5mm will work with that size tire.
Maybe with more front camber the 10mm might work but I don’t want to go too extreme.

My Abarth is lowered on Sporlines and I'm running 10mm front & 15mm rear spacers

This sounds about as close as has been mentioned in my prior post, maybe you have some pics for the OP that would help with the decision?

Is the Abarth 17" wheel offset any different than the 16" Sport offset? I ran 15 mm all the way around on my Sport and it was perfect... shouldn't have sold those damned spacers!
