Stupid question...I knew about the locator pins on the hubs, but uh what is this?

Looks to be only on the rear hubs. I am looking to install a set of OZ wheels, do they stay on or are they to be removed?

Thanks

Think it is just a pressed on cap, I don't think you need or have to remove it, maybe someone else has more info about it, noticed it myself recently during a heavy mod day.

I have OZ Adrenelina wheels and the dust cap stays on. The bearing is sealed, but it is a good idea to keep the cap on.

Was the dust cap only on the rear hubs? Just seems strange to only have it on 2.

I find it makes the rear rims a very tight fit, especially when I have my winter set on (Ciao Vernazzas). Yeah, leave it on it keeps the dirt out!

You don't need it on the front because just the splined and threaded shaft of the cv joint goes through the hub. In the rear, inside the hub is the bearing and that needs to be protected.

Learn something new everyday. Thanks guys. I'll post pics tonight of the car with the new wheels :-)

Makes it difficult for fitment nerds like me to gain more lip. :-p Oh well I love pushing the limits of this little car in a different manner.
