Is there an aftermarket option for auto dimming rear view mirror?

I haven't seen one, and it would obviously require 12V DC which I imagine could be easily obtained from the sunroof wiring or map lights. Though I've always found it amazing how few people are aware of the toggle at the bottom of the mirror. I am not assuming you are one of those people, just an observation of the general public.

I think the Lounge comes with one and there are a few after-market solutions, I think one is named something like Gentak or something like that. There are universal options that I'm sure would also work.

I bought a used mirror on ebay and installed it. It is easier to do if you have a sunroof as you can tap into that power.

yup the 500L Lounge comes with one - haven't really seen it work yet though - it has one of those buttons and LED that you press and it does nothing (opens the neighbors garage door) when you press it other than turn the LED on and off.

Gentek is a direct fit, as seen in the attached picture, along with the Blendmount for my Valentine V1.
I ran the wires for both of them down the driver's side A-pillar and tapped power from the fuse box.
Its easy.

Welcome to the forum Tony. Good luck with your (potential) mirror upgrade plans.

I've seen an option that uses Bluetooth to connect to a back up camera. Looked pretty cool.

I ended up taking jcct's advice and going with a direct fit Gentek off ebay. It was very easy, makes it how it should have came from the factory! A backup camera would have been awesome however....
