FiatCaresUSA, maybe you can shed some light on this. My wife took in our 500L for it's first oil change today to the dealer. Normally a 30 minute or so affair for our regular 500. They've had it a couple hours so far and told my wife the 500L is extremely hard to change the oil on and they had to take apart some things to do it. Does that sound right to you? Their normal oil change person told her he had to have the Fiat Tech come help him do it. It apparently is only the 2nd oil change on a 500L at this dealer.

I raised a similar question before. On the top end there are clamps that hold some hoses that apparently are one time use clamps. These may take some time getting off, hence making the process at least the first one longer than usual. After these clamps are replaced with conventional worm type clamps it should be business as usual.

Thanks n00dle, that makes some sense why it might take it bit.
