Why Obsidian (Volcanic Glass)? It's my inspiration for the color scheme and finish quality I'd like to achieve with my completed project.

I recently had the engine bay turbo bracket polished to a high gloss and I'd say I'm satisfied with the result. I will be taking photos for the next update. For now, a shot of the completed rear end during the day and a night shot of the new finish. The effect changes drastically based on the lighting source:

I'm currently looking forward to the development and completion of the ATM bumper cold air intake. If it's reasonably quieter with similar advantages as the HCI, it may be one of the first engine based upgrades I proceed with!

So it's flat black? Is that a wrap, plastidip type coating, or full blown respray? At any rate liking the flat black look.

It's actually a highly reflective metallic finish, but depending on where the light source is located or under full shadow, it will take on a matte or satin appearance.

Here's a video of a vehicle where the same vinyl finish has been used:

Thanks, glad you like it!

Is that an LED lighting kit in the Headlights?

No, just funny camera lighting. :)

I had baked open the headlights and installed custom halos on an older vehicle of mine to function as DRLs. They looked great for the time they lasted, but eventually one of them burnt out. I'd recommend a headlight with pre-installed halos and a decent warranty should you ever consider such a modification for your own vehicle.

burned out halo led? perfect oppertunity to throw some RGBs in there. Here is what I did on another car when the halo burned out.

Or just Demon eyes, especially with that wrap you have going on, I think would look really sorted:

I had mine done by a chap in TX that had done a few others before mine, but in general, I don't see why not. The Demon eyes are controlled via a heavy duty toggle switch that I have located under the hood. Nice thing is i can leave them always on, and with the headlights on, you can't see any trace of red. And they are just two little red LEDs so leaving them on all weekend long doesn't drain the battery.

It would indeed look very menacing, unfortunately it's illegal under Provincial law to have any colors visible from the front of a vehicle aside from whites within the 2500-6000k temperature range. (Especially red which may easily be confused with the rear end of a vehicle from a far distance.)

I've seen a trend of green fog lights recently and I'm surprised many of the vehicle owners haven't been caught.

Wouldn't be such a bad idea if I were to selectively activate such a feature during local car shows or meets. :)

It suits your car well!

Hehe, yes... I leave my headlights on all the time so that the red can't show though. But yes, at car meets and auto-X it is fun to have the demon eyes goin' and the halo's blinkin! Green, huh? I like that idea a lot actually... but yea, should be just as illegal. What Kelvin is green though?

I'm not sure what temperature range a green light emitting bulb would run at, but I suspect they cover their fog housing with green film to achieve the effect. Maybe they're all fans of the Green Hornet movie:

20k kelvin is the color temp ;) at least that is what my last set said...maybe it was 30k kelvin, kinda forgot....oops

Green isn't illegal depending on the location, I got stopped twice in AR for it. I looked at the state law, says not one word about headlamp color gr_grin

They complained both times, but one was right after I turned them on and they are grass green for 30 seconds during warm-up. Then just green tinted, it's still a million times better than bright a$$ blue.
