haha, that's funny because I was actually shopping for an Abarth and was on my way to pick one up. When I got to the dealer I saw the Trekkings on the lot adjacent to the Abarths. The Trekkings were just calling out to me, there was just something about them. I took both the Abarth and the Trekking for a spin and I knew right then that the Trekking was better suited for my current needs. Two totally different cars, that I think the sales reps were even puzzled. Oh well, they say that the majority of car sales are based on emotion, and I suppose this instance would qualify. I'm happy and that's all that matters! :)

here's some recent pics.

Looking good! Trekking is the nicest model by far.

I especially like the photo of the Trekking angled, that looks like an advertisement photo. The white fence along the road with the road curving, rising, then dipping away.

Added some 500L specific wheel locks from FIAT, #68227303AA. These are one of the best wheel lock sets I've come across. It features a nice deterrent security cap for each lock. The cap must be removed with a special tool in order to access the wheel lock with the key.

I have the white Trekking as well. It seems that the white Trekking is a popular choice. Most of the users who have thumbnail pictures seem to have white Trekkings. My wife and I like the white roof because it highlights the shape of the top contrasted with the black windows.

Do you think the Trekking wheels are at risk of being stolen? Could they be used on other cars?

I'm in LA, crazy things happen. Every car I've had has had a set of wheel locks as a deterrent. It's cheap insurance for me. I've had friends come out to find their cars up on blocks with no wheels and it sucks.

Great question, 500 Madness has them listed as 5x98 which limits the vehicles that would be compatible.

That's doesn't seem right. The 5 in 5x98 means 5 lugs, however for wheel locks you only need 1 wheel lock per wheel, so just 4 will suffice. The wheel locks can be used in other applications that use the same lug bolt thread pitch, seat and length.

I think what he is saying is that there aren't many cars that use a 5x95 bolt pattern, My GTV6 does, along with some other Italian machines, but not many. Especially in this country.

Got it. Yes, the 500L (5x98) wheel will be limited to only a few.

Still crooks don't know that and probably assume they fit Hondas, etc. So a set of wheel locks may not be a bad idea.

Agreed, Crooks in general might not consider bolt patterns:hopelessness:
