I saw in the news today via Pulse that Chrysler is increasing engine production (alas, not for Fiat).
The Tiger shark engine was mentioned, I got curious and found the above link.
Thought you might enjoy reading up. There seems to be coopetition the small engine world although Chrysler did some buyouts.

so not the multi-air or variant of.. a shame, that engine is pretty cool and it would seem that tech would be useful in larger motors as well

The 2.4L Tigershark uses MultiAir, though I'm not certain how the "MultiAir II" advertising differs from the other MultiAir hardware.
