Road Race is close to releasing a heat-retaining system for the Abarth, 500T and 500L owners who would like to cover their Turbo with a thermal-isolating blanket. The oil-supply line will also get the road race treatment in the form of a heat-retaining sleeve to help keep things cool. Rock 500 wants to keep the car as cool as possible (as this is his daily driver) and is constantly looking at ways to improve the performance of the 1.4L platform. More to come from Road///Race. Stay tuned.

Colors huh? mmmmmmmmm Let me change the subject.
One picture I need to post is a picture of the backside (not seen) not shown in pictures yet. This is the most important side. It is inconel. Please look up this material. This is the key. Inconel is a family of austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloys. Inconel alloys are typically used in high temperature applications. It is often referred to in English as "Inco" (or occasionally "Iconel"). Common trade names for Inconel Alloy 625 include: Inconel 625, Chronin 625, Altemp 625, Haynes 625, Nickelvac 625 and Nicrofer 6020.[2]

This is used for Jet Engines, turbocharger impellers etc...... Anywhere the heat is off the chart. Again this is where the main difference is. If we do colors, IF, we will be sure to give it silly names like fingernail polish for teens. You know, fun names for fun colors. :) It is all in the marketing I guess. If you want color and heat shielding, add this to your blanket......... They are totally compatible.

Will you sell the oil line wrap by itself for those that already bought a PTP blanket?

Thanks!

I have always been a huge fan of aviation quality made parts for vehicles. Especially when it comes to heat resistance, I will be definitely be "Keeping It Cool" with this upgrade. Stay Cool My Friends......

Black is fine. I'm more concerned about function plus it will match my stealth look anyway.

Here you can see in this picture of our wrap sitting with a competitor's thermal wrap. As mentioned above, we were using inconel for our application.

How does inconel compare to 'lava' blankets that are available on the market?

Abarth Five O

The Iconel material used for the R/R turbo blanket looks similar to the PTP turbo "lava" blanket, but the R/R blanket is much larger. Look forward to pricing info, etc.

Do not be fooled the back side material is VERY different. One is clothe based and one is metal. Guess which one is metal. It is no contest really. This is why M1 Abrams tanks, Coast Guard helos and INDY car use what we use and not the other LAVA blanket. Ours with inconel alone rates so much better which is why it is used in F1 cars, Indy cars and go from there. If you are burning your cookies in the oven.................. then.
