It's been 3 months since I've had the Road Race Motorsports Prototype Exhaust (with Muffler) on my 500T. Yesterday I went to Road Race they took off the muffler type exhaust, and installed another exhaust on my 500T. This time its the race version no muffler type. This exhaust is a straight pipe design, no muffler just pipe, and tip on the axle back. Here are some pictures I have taken of the exhaust, there is a sound clip which should be up shortly, but meanwhile these pictures will be enough for a teaser. Also remember this is a prototype, and not the finish product. I just would like to thank Road Race Motorsports again for letting me test out there new products on my car. Let the feedback begin.......

How are you liking it so far? What about power? It sounded very good when I heard it. This is a better flowing system than a stock Abarth exhaust system so you should expect some gains.

This could be a superb option for the Abarth too. A nice, straight, single pipe.

I am very satisfied with the no muffler straight pipe sound, and performance. I do notice a bit more power in boost, and the car can breathe alot better. Don't get me wrong I do love the Muffler type, but for me this suits me better. Either the exhaust muffler or no muffler they both perform better than stock and both sound great! Can't wait to add the downpipe and really hear and feel the difference......

Believe it or not, change to a 500T diffuser and you can hide dual setup and run single on the Abarth. Probably a lighter setup in the long run. Looks like no 500T guys really care at this point, hum.....

Anyone interested in this or should we just scrap this for production?

Dead huh? We will make some lightweight versions for Abarth maybe.

I think 2.25 inch and mated to the stock piping. It is all you need.

I know there are some 500T guys out there that would love this. I am working extra hard to get a sound clip up, because seeing and hearing is believing.....

Are these available? I didn't see them listed on R/R website. I am interested in getting something like this for my abarth so I can mount a spare tire.

Is this catback or just axleback? Ideas about pricing?

You have to call Road Race Motorsports these are on special order I believe. This is just a axleback exhaust. The installation is very easy and with supporting mods like RRM downpipe, Ultimate ECU and intake, the gains will be very noticeable and power you will be very satisfied with. Especially if you have a Abarth gains will be alot higher than the 500T cause of the de-tune.

Or you can pay about $50 to your local muffler shop to cut off the muffler and weld a piece of pipe in place. Mine even welded the original tip back onto the straight pipe so it still looks stock.

This is exactly what I did, same price too.
However; I wouldn't mind having something DP back that's got better bends in it. Anyone know what the ID of our stock exhaust is?
If it's not too bad, is it really worth upgrading? I'm thinking that for the 500T, just a muffler delete and Norcal's stock DP mod may be all we really need.
More thoughts?
