hey guys i discovered a paper that appears to be an engineering document on the selection of our turbocharger. it contains pressure maps and detaied specs as well as references to it's use on "fiat" and "multiair" engine. figured some tuners or interested individuals might enjoy it. looks like there was also a 1444 variale geometry turbo being considered and despite the smaller exducer it has very similar potential. i wonder if one of those could make for a more drivable package? could be a good mod for the dart where people complain about drivability.

the docment is too big and i didn't just want to just pull the images out and post them because it might be an interesting read for somebody so here (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CCsQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ingas-eu.org%2Fdocs%2F741.doc&ei=lb3rUYqaHNLe4AO784DYDA&usg=AFQjCNGLlWb3pjnEimGktGKW4w3FeaZHbw&sig2=f0_SOPGj3L1miQ331AekUQ) is the link

It looks like the paper is mainly discussing the variable turbine geometry version. FWIW, their intent is a 120HP engine. Thanks for sharing nevertheless! :)

yeah when i first looked at it i noticed the choke line is pretty similar and at lower pressure ratios it is actaully farther to the right, so the power potential is also similar but now looking at things again at our pressure ratios the existing turbo is more efficient so the charge would be hotter with the variable geometry version.
