Completely agree. I haven't been this excited about a movie in a long, long time!

I remember getting excited about Stallone's "Driven", but it was a piece of crap. I expect great things from Ron Howard, as Opie usually does it right!

Top Gear UK had Ron Howard on the show and they gave Rush a good review. Looking forward to it.

will definitely see it on the big screen!

In an interview this year they asked Nikki Lauda what he thought of the guy they cast in his role. He replied something like "I didn't think they could find an actor that starts the movie with two ears and ends up with one". He's pretty funny, and still in F1 on the Mercedes team.

Scheduled for release on September 27th in the US.

This movie is similar to La Mans with Steve McQueen (1971) but better yet Grand Prix (1966) with James Garner. The movie is based on the life of Jimmy Clark racing his factory Lotus 24B. If you want to see some real action rent or buy both you won't regret it.

I will watch anything made by the man who produced Arrested Development. It looks really good though I can't wait to see it. I hope it does well at the box office.

I've been waiting for this movie to come out for a long time. The reviews I have heard from those that have seen it already(press and f1 drivers) all say great things about the movie. I have a group of about 20 that is planning to go opening night.

about one month to go, and certainly if you watch F1 on TV you've seen the ads. Have seen the trailer regularly in movie theaters, so we'll see if a movie about F1 can do well in the US.

Memphis International Raceway teamed up with Universal Pictures to setup an advance screening of RUSH at the Malco Paradiso in Memphis this evening at 7pm.
It is first come first served but I am hoping I will be able to get in. Looking forward to seeing it!

I can recommend the movie. My wife came along and she enjoyed it even though she does not follow F1 and had never heard of James Hunt or Niki Lauda.
Some parts were over the top a little; I had to remind myself it was based on a true story. Overall, Ron Howard did a good job!

Rush has received very positive reviews in the NY Times and the US Today in the last week, so hopefully there will be an audience for it when it opens nationwide on the 27th!

Just got back from seeing it, and thought it was pretty good. As more of a racing fan than a movie fan, I guess more car racing would have been cool, but overall it was fun.

Just saw it as well, and it was a great movie. I am a big F1 fan and have been following for years, but liked the non racing parts as well. One of the things that keeps me interested in F1 year after year is the rivalries, personalities and how the drivers and teams play off of one another. This movie really captured all of this is a way that the other non racing fans with me, including my wife, really enjoyed.

Two thumbs up!

I saw this movie on Friday afternoon, loved it. When I got out of the movie there was a group of people around the Abarth. We talked cars for a half hour. Go see the movie it was very well done. I even think the women will like it because it is not just a car guy type movie.
