those old fiat blocks are strong as hell. a guy used to run a yugo at englishtown, he used another yugo with a towbar as his tow vehicle.

ha my soccer coach in 1989 or so had a Yugo that he had put another engine in from something else, a suzuki engine, IIRC. That thing was a bat out of hell, he had 8" rubber on it, and when it went straight is was amazing if there were no bumps, but when he turned the entire chassis would flex and almost snap in two on account of rust. He used to look for missing bolts every few weeks as a matter of course. The car literally threw off parts and hardware as it went down the road, but it surprised a lot of people and I dunno if I've ever had my heart rate up more in a car before.....
