Thanks Feinus! The mpg is okay, pretty good for a 5 passenger city vehicle. One that will be used far outside the city.

I'm guessing the comments on the seats are highly thigh-length dependent. If the front seat is "short" that means it would be just fine for me. LOL. I suppose what taller folks might not realize that shorter folks need to have the edge of the seat where their knees are. If it's any longer in the seat, our little legs just stick right out. Such is the case with most deep seating furniture. Which is why I don't have a sofa. I have a bench.

Totally disappointed to see the Lounge interior on Cars.com. I really LIKED all the UK interiors. There were pops of color in the seats of the Pop, with floating 500 and L on the back of the seat. The Easy had the Dots upholstery. And the Lounge had the Words interior. I'm not seeing any of that for the US version. Do not want light grey interior. Had it on the Fit, and in my area, it's often overcast, the sky is light grey, blech! On the other hand, inland where it's hot, the light gray would probably be great, an oasis of cooling fog.

I like the seats in the Pop better, with the stitched "stripes". It appears to be lighter than the Lounge, and almost white in some lighting. Someone asked if that interior was white leather in another thread, and wouldn't that be magnificent? Leather, leatherette, vinyl, whatever.

Like the brown/black interior on the Trekking. And in a link Chris provided, there was a tri-tone seat of beige, brown. I want to see that one myself. And there was a beige/gray combo too. I think there's supposed to be a red accent too, but haven't seen pics of that on a model yet.

Another review, nice to hear the exhaust note. Also mentions the refrigerated glove box.

Very cool, and Fast Lane Car did a great job on this car as reviews so far have gone. I like how Roman and his sidekick review these cars, most of the time, and they ARE honest when they say, that despite what the car is made out to be, it's NOT always what it is made out to be, ala the Ford Escape, as they found out during the shoot (it's no AWD, with all season tires).

Anyway, will need to check this thing out soon.

I didn't feel like the Car and Driver one was snotty...and it isn't that I disagree with you...it is just that I felt like it didn't say anything we didn't already know?

When the lead sentence brings up J-Lo, that's enough to set me off. Surprised fix it again Tony wasn't in there somewhere.

I think a lot of advertising is just plain stupid. I'm never quite sure what the car maker is trying to do with some of their ads. I guess they're trying to be popular or clever or with the times. But there's rarely info about the car itself.

Here's a possible ad for the 500L, just off the top of my head.

Camera focused on the backseat. Empty. Someone gets in. Then another person comes along and says "move over" and gets in. Then another person comes along and does the same thing, so there are three occupants. Next, people (kids and adults) of various sizes continue to come along and when one gets in, two scoot over and the one on the other end gets out.

Then several flashes of various people combinations with all kinds of looks and happy faces or someone glowering at another. A dog. Some kid (like the Home Alone kid) says scoot over, meaning there are just two people in the back seat and puts the armrest down in the center in back (in Easy or Lounge) and has a beverage. Then kicks back in the recline position.

Small people, tall people, big people, babies in car seats, etc.

It shows that the car can take all your friends and family along, it's roomier than you thought.

I'd do the same thing featuring the cargo space. From a dad type with building materials to a musician with amps and instruments, it all can fit in the L. Sporting goods, no problem, camping stuff, it all can fit. I wonder if a string quartet and instruments would fit. Anyway, the point being here is that whatever life you lead, this is a great car for you.

I'd quite forgotten about her and I must have completely missed that sentence. Perhaps my brain bleeps her out now.

I thought Car and Driver were pretty fair, yes they mention J-Lo but only because they mention that FIAT has moved on.

My two cents says the 500L will be at least as popular as the other 500/turbo/Abarth models.
