View Full Version : rock chips on wheels

I have the optional 17 inch wheels in white for my car and have gotten a couple rock chips on the rear wheels. What would be best for touch up paint for them. Would the factory white work the best or should I take them somewhere to have them redone? Thanks

Not certain the best color match for the white wheels but I thought it was odd when I found chips in my hyper black wheels, now less so as it would seem a more common problem but I hadn't noticed this with other cars so I am curious if the mud flaps might lessen this effect. If I see mention on the other forum or here on the best color I will get back to you with that information.

The local Alloy Wheel Repair franchise uses water borne paint systems and infrared curing systems. For small chips a standard auto touch up paint is adequate imho

Anyone ever figure out what paint to use for the white wheels?

The paint code for the wheels is PW3. It's the same white as the white Abarth's. You can order the Chrysler/Fiat touch-up pen from the dealership or pick one up from a dealer on ebay. Cost is around $10

How about for the hyperblack 17 inch factory wheels?
