When I went to Cars&Coffee this morning my friend tells me about his new project. He got an Alpha Romeo spider for $200 cash. It runs and drives, and just needs some minor cosmetic stuff to fix. Wow! I know the wife would lose it if I bring home another project, but still. I'm jealous, I know another character flaw for me to deal with.

That would be great, it starts at @8 and goes to @ 10 then sort of thins out after. PM me and we could meet up and go in together.

I'd offer him $201 for it!

Great minds must think alike,I tried. I even told him I offer $300, but he said I could help him work on it and then I could drive it some. It still sitting, we both have been busy.

87558756 I found an Alpha Romeo veloce pininfarina 1986 that has been sitting in a garage for 10 years then 6 months outside with cover. It had gas in tank that has turned real bad but if the intake is sprayed with starting fluid it will run ( for a short time). He was asking $1800 but I have him at $1500 now. Needs interior(seats recovered) and some paint but body is wreck free. What do you guys think? If I invest 2 to 3 k it will be a 4k car right? I have always wanted an Alpha but my wife will remind me of the Maserati Bi turbo that was a nightmare I am sure. What to do?

I'd have to think that if it's in good shape, meaning no major rust, and only needs some minor stuff that you can do yourself, $1500 could turn out to be a good deal!
