Has anyone done this yet?? Does the heat shield stay on?? How does it strap down all i got was the blanket.

you can leave it or take it off. use the stock bolts.

So the only thing holding this in is the 2 top bolts?

look at my thread on testing this. there is 3 on top two on the front and it goes under the turbo bracket. it uses all the holes on the blanket to mount it.

Yeah - total 5 bolt all together and Shaggie and I had the bolt come out with the front nut so don't be too alarmed if you experience that. I think I am the only one left running it without the stock heat shield on top. I removed the top heat shield and replaced it with the blanket.

yes git it on. heat shi lets more hit air come thru tested it with my hest gun. took cover off and just used blsnket it holds th aur in much better. thanks guys

So for those who installed the turbo blanket...any info? Actual data collected? Under hood temps?

I'm still running it without the stock heatshield. The shield at that point is only going to just get in the way of air flow, as the blanked is already keeping all the hot air in the hot side of the turbo, so better air flow around the turbo is only a good thing. It will smell funny like a burning/chem smell for the first several hot runs you do, but that goes away, and is normal, per the written instructions.
