I've sent a lot of my oem wheels to Eric Vaughn for widening (my ctsv im sending rears out next week to make 10.5) and im wondering on our cars whats the biggest wheel you can fit up front?

I was thinking about putting spacers to make it more flush and then doing a 8 inch wheel in front with a 235 40 17 or if I did a 8.5 wheels 245 35 17

Any info is appreciated guys. Thanks

I seriously doubt you could fit a 245 under this car. My. 8 inch wheels are flush up front. I could go a little wider in the ar. Testing it out with a spacer first. Im on a slightly stretched 195, lowered on kw v1.

235 at a guess (without having measured a thing) seems wide too. im sure its doable. but i know on my current setup of 16x with the stock 195s, another 30mm of sidewall would be waaaay too much, even in the rear.

may i ask why you want so much tire? not like youre making enough power to need it. its just added weight.

8" width and 225s are likely your best option, but they will be overkill for the car. I came close to doing the widening thing on my GT500, but 545rwhp is a lot different than a maybe 190fwhp with my mods now, so can't see paying the cost for the Abarth.

I think an extra inch of rubber can't really hurt, especially around the cones where lateral grip is more important than forward acceleration (compared to most other scenarios).

JLM4Life: Did you try your wheels in 15" before going to 16" first?

nope. they are CCWs, so custom built.

I think 245s would look pretty cool on this car, but for now it would mostly be for looks
